Awais Farooqi is currently doing PhD in Electrical Engineering at UiTM-Malaysia, his research is focused on Implementing Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Renewable Energy Power Systems. At present he is working as Sr. IoT Engineer at Inchz-IoT Sdn. Bhd. (Malaysia), mainly focusing on achieving Industry 4.0 oriented goals by providing industrial IoT solutions to clients mostly involved in industrial automation and up-gradation of older version of machine to bring them into smart world of communication. He is also a consultant to Vechnology (Malaysia), providing smart vending machine design services and solutions. He is the founder of a startup, Technocentric Solutions Sdn. Bhd. (Malaysia) with an aim to provide full-fledged research & development and green & smart manufacturing facilities technologies in Malaysia that can communicate with the advanced machinery and robotic technology kneaders by using smart information technology tools. Previously He has worked as R&D Engineer at one of the machine building company in Penang Island and developed various system firmware to hardware methodologies for new machines development project and enhancement of current systems. He was a Research Assistant Engineer at University of Malaysia (UM) and developed a Laser integrated CNC machine. He is one of the world's first founder of Green Manufacturing Index (GMI) and kept the basis of initial research at UM for Green Manufacturing Technology to develop new ideologies to maintain sustainable manufacturing standards and set points to support and minimize environmental impact caused by manufacturing firms. At UM he has also experienced on Robot Operating System (ROS) to design and develop a motion control system architecture for 6-parallel manipulator built by implementing Single Computer Software based Distributed Control System (SCSDCS) with ROS M2M nodes over the designed control system to work on a remote network to control IOs wirelessly.
