TECHEX, October 19 and 20, Amsterdam
Please join us in Amsterdam. TECHEX is the Conference where people meet who are running IoT and AI in real business. You find large companies alongside SME. It is where architecture meets usability and UX, ROI is key. Two days packed with good energy.

Rob Van Kranenburg is Vice Chair of A TECHNICAL REFERENCE ARCHITECTURE FRAMEWORK FOR AN OPEN 6G DEVICE ECOSYSTEM
The goal of this activity is to initiate standards activities to develop a technical reference architecture framework for an open 6G device ecosystem which provide all the capabilities of current smartphones, together with a fully secure digital wallet, trustworthy AI, and potentially also a router (e.g.for neighborhood hotspots), all enabled from open trusted hardware modules in the devices and using open source applications. The motivation is to move away from closed device ecosystems controlled by individual companies by enabling a new governance structure based on open source development on the new 6G connectivity platform. The consumer use case for 6G would be better served by this open approach but is currently lacking an industrial and societal framework. The intent is to support development of devices in a public-private structure, and to enable development of a new device Operating System -different from the closed ecosystems commonly used on current devices (e.g.Harmony, Apple and Android). We want trustworthy AI running from the hardware in the devices. This work seeks tobuild an ecosystem on the devices with open-sourceapplications overseen by foundations and stewardships.

Ecosteer protects data at its origin and separates access to the infrastructure from visibility over the data. Information can be transported, distributed or stored by third-party infrastructure while remaining encrypted and unintelligible to that infrastructure.

What new use cases will 6G bring?
6G will enable new classes of devices, services, and deployments. Enabling intelligent computing everywhere, 6G will expand fixed and mobile broadband networks towards pervasive access, spatial perception, and real-time control, bringing a wide range of new use cases such as hologram telepresence, collaborative robots, human augmentation, and deeper immersion to the digital and virtual worlds.

Moving away from the static approach (see Article 1)—where policy is reviewed annually—towards a government capable of responding in real-time to data-driven insights whenever necessary (as seen during the coronavirus pandemic). A Data Space approach facilitates the implementation of the Open Government Act (Woo), although the transition to a fully data-driven state remains a complex challenge.
If the state were to embrace the concept of federated and decentralized Data Spaces, it would become a continuously learning and adaptive entity, capable of real-time data analysis and integration within every decision-making process.
