We all know about several applications and benefits of IoT; since simple things to complex ones. The evolution of processing power has contributed to turning engineering dreams into reality. Machines are capable of performing complex mathematical operations in fractions of a second, enabling technologies like AI (Artificial Intelligence), ML (Machine Learning), DL (Deep Learning) capabilities and applications (Chatbot, Computer Voice, Computer Vision, etc), VR (Virtual Reality), AR (Augmented Reality), XR (eXtended Reality), etc. Yes, humans being have transformed computers and electronic devices into powerful tools, and it is our responsibility (as engineers) on building fantastic machines and bringing great useful applications.
Digital Twin has transformed several industries. Product drawings and engineering specifications progressed from handmade drafting to computer aided design to model-based systems engineering. Digital Model and Digital Shadow have main roles due to the integration and interoperability in industry-level dynamics when the workspace is considered as part of RPA system (Robotic Process Automation) – in virtual and in physical space.
Since the beginning of HMI (Human-Machine Interface), devices manufacturers are responsible of bringing the best-in-class in terms of human interaction with machines. Great use cases have shown that the difference is in the details – the most emblematic was the transformation of smartphone keyboard; from QWERTY to touchscreen.
